- What substrates can I use Metall-FX coatings on?
Metall-FX has been successfully used on a variety of materials including MDF - Plaster - Plasterboard - Concrete - Fibreglass - Glass - Plastic - Polystyrene - Paper - Brickwork - Fabric - Metal - Ceramics - Wood
- Does Metall-FX contain real metal?
Yes, all Metall-FX systems contain a high level of real metal bound together by our unique polymer carriers.
- How can Metall-FX benefit over a real metal?
Metall-FX can give the appearance of a real metal surface without the restrictions of traditional manufacturing techniques. Metall-FX can also provide substantial weight and cost savings over solid metal.
- What if I don’t see a system I like?
Our website contains only a fraction of the finishes that we can provide. Contact us if you don’t see the particular metal or finish that you require.
- Is Metall-FX electrically conductive?
Metall-FX standard product is not electrically conductive, however on request we can make our product conductive. Metall-FX should not be considered an insulator.
- Is Metall-FX ok for outdoor use?
Yes. When correctly applied to the substrate, Metall-FX has excellent weatherability. As with other real metals, a clear lacquer, wax or oil can also be used to prevent tarnishing.
